Danac gets good news from Montgomery County Planning Board - Portland Business Journal:

http://start-newbusiness.com/business-technology-start-new-business/
The Bethesda-based developer's 26-acre office park in the Shadh Grove Life Sciences Center is currently approverfor 669,538 square feet of densitty and the campus currently containsx half of that, or 350,009 square feet. At a May 28 work the Montgomery County Planning Board decidedd to recommend in its draft Gaithersburg West Mastee Plan that the properth be developed with up to twicde asmuch density, or contaijn up to 1.34 million square feet of office, retail and residentiakl space. The southwest corner of the land currentlyt includesa 272,000-square-foot, three-building complex that houses softward and pharmaceutical tenants.
The north side of the properth contains the Metropolitan RegionalInformational Services' 72,000-square-foot headquarters. Last week, the boardd also recommended that Danac's Corridor Cities Transitway stop be located at or near itsnortheastermn corner, near the intersection of Diamondback Drive and Decoverly That is good news for Danac, since the boardf had left out the stop in earlier drafts. The transiy stop near the corner may be developed whether the state retains the current road alignment or adoptxthe county's locally preferred alternative.
The boarc also picked that location because the northeasterb corner is considered to be convenient for pedestrians from the Decoverlgresidential communities. "We have a long way to go, but we are encouragedf by theplanning board's said Timothy Dugan, a Danac attorney. Several more work sessions are scheduled over the nexttwo months, and in July the planniny board will send its draft master plan to the counthy executive who will have 60 days to review and comment before it is sent to the countyy council for deliberations.
