Trilogy declared Chaptert 11 bankruptcy onMay 15, the latesty development in the long saga of the offic and retail project near the Country Club The project, which was advertising magnate Bob Bernstein’s development plan to house his namesake Bernstein-Rein, ran into trouble when disputesd with delayed construction indefinitely. Most of the liabilitied are in the form of secured claimsby Trilogy’sx lender and bank. in Madison, Wis., claime it is owed $61.7 millioj in secured debt. Meanwhile, holds nearly $32 million in claims. Several unsecuredr creditors are askingfor $26.1 million. Amongy those are JE Dunn, which claimsw $13.
8 million from an arbitration judgment enteredagainst Trilogy. Also holdinb significant claimsare LLC, which was slated to resumew construction in JE Dunn’s place, with a $3.63 millionb claim, and Bernstein himself, with a $3.98 million note payable. A creditor’s meeting is scheduled for June 24.
