Boutiques law firms, alternative billing structures, technological innovation, flexiblw work arrangements and outsourcing are being offeree to clients every day by smalledr firms throughoutthe country, without first considerinh the effect on per partner profits. Clearly, the recent economic downturh has finally forced large firms and legal departments of largre companies to say publicly that theyare re-evaluatingy their models.
